On 26\u201327 May 2026, an international partner meeting of the project PositiveWorkplace \u2013 Counteracting Professional Burnout by Equipping Managers with Professional Qualifications in the Field of Creating Friendly Working Conditions was held. The project is implemented under the Erasmus+ Programme. One of the project partners is the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 Institute for Sustainable Technologies. <\/p>\n\n
The aim of the PositiveWorkplace project is to counteract professional burnout by developing educational solutions that support managers, particularly those from the IT sector, in creating friendly, healthy working conditions conducive to employee well-being. The project combines perspectives from management, organisational psychology, vocational education, and mental health prevention in the workplace. <\/p>\n\n
The first day of the meeting had a scientific character and was organised as the International Scientific Conference \u201cProfessional Burnout in Organisations \u2013 Challenges, Consequences, Solutions\u201d, held at the Radom Academy of Economics. The event brought together representatives of the academic community, experts, business practitioners, public administration representatives, and international partners.The conference programme addressed issues related to the organisational, psychological, social, educational, and technological determinants of professional burnout. <\/p>\n\n
Employees of \u0141ukasiewicz-ITEE were actively involved in the preparation and implementation of the event. Dr Ludmi\u0142a Walaszczyk and Remigiusz Mazur participated in the work of the conference organising committee and also took part as panellists, presenting the Institute\u2019s perspective on competence development, organisational management, prevention of professional burnout, and the creation of working environments that support employee well-being.<\/p>\n\n
During the conference, the topics discussed included the causes and consequences of professional burnout, the importance of leadership and organisational communication, the challenges of remote and hybrid work, the role of artificial intelligence in reducing cognitive overload, and the need to implement systemic preventive measures in organisations. Particular emphasis was placed on an interdisciplinary approach to the issue of professional burnout and the need to combine scientific research with management practice. <\/p>\n\n
The second day of the meeting was held at the headquarters of \u0141ukasiewicz-ITEE and had a working, management and administrative character. The project partners discussed the progress of work, organisational matters, dissemination activities, and the further use of the results developed within the project. The meeting also provided an opportunity to summarise the international cooperation carried out so far and to define directions for the implementation of the educational solutions developed in the project. <\/p>\n\n
