Center for Vocational Education and Innovation Management
The Centre for Research in Vocational Education and Innovation Management is a specialized unit focused on the development of systems, models, and tools that support the integration of vocational education with the economy and the labour market. The Centre addresses research problems in the fields of labour pedagogy, andragogy, companies’ intellectual capital, behavioural economics in organizations, and other scientific disciplines concerned with human functioning in the work environment.
The mission of the Centre is to deliver new methodological, programmatic, and organizational solutions, as well as services for the formal and non-formal education sector, particularly in the development of educational technologies and vocational studies research. The Centre carries out initiatives that promote vocational education, enhance its prestige, and increase interest in technical fields of higher education. It also supports the creation and growth of innovative enterprises in selected areas of smart specialisation, including through the implementation of a professional startup incubation programme.
In line with the idea of the social responsibility of science, the Centre promotes science by building dialogue and engaging broad groups of stakeholders in scientific and research-and-development activities. These activities are carried out within national programmes (KPO, FERS) and international programmes (Erasmus+, INTERREG, LIFE Plus, Horizon Europe), in cooperation with recognised research centres in Poland and abroad, industrial partners (e.g. KGHM, JSW, FANUC, DMG MORI), employers’ and employees’ organisations from various sectors, central and local government bodies, as well as non-governmental organisations.
Our partners include, among others: the Polish Craft Association; the Chief Technical Organisation (NOT); the Association of Polish Mechanical Engineers and Technicians; the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers; the Association of School and Career Counsellors of the Republic of Poland; the Mazovian In-Service Teacher Training Centre; the Construction Workers’ Trade Union (ZZ Budowlani); the Association of Finishing Works Specialists; the National Energy Conservation Agency; the Nationwide Association “Energy and Environment Conservation”; the Polish Network of Energy Cities; the National Chamber of Commerce; the Radom Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and many others.
